DIY Letterpress Workshop!

Letterpress is a classic & elegant way to invite your guests to your wedding - it leaves a lasting impression which will almost force whoever receives your card or invitation, to constantly rub their fingers over it as if they are in a hyponotic daze while asking themselves ‘Is this the greatest invitation I have ever seen?' The only downside is it can be a little pricey - so why not make your own? Because you don't have a giant letterpress in your 327sq. ft. studio? Good point.  Intima Press in Manhattan runs this great workshop where you can can print your own letterpress invitations, RSVPs, Thank-You cards...check it out!

DIY Letterpress Wedding Invitations class with Mindy Belloff of Intima Press runs 5 eves, and the next session is in June (5 eves, Thursdays 6-9:30PM on June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1, tuition is $585 plus $40 studio fee). With close guidance and design consulting from the instructor, brides and/or grooms will complete their main invitation and reply card and print them one at a time with deep impression, in beautiful letterpress!  You will learn to design your cards, hand set your text using “real” fonts from our metal foundry type collection, and print them with perfection, one at a time on our awesome press. Gain an understanding of planning, paper qualities, and specialized printing. If you would like to combine this with a design from your home computer, we will guide you in this too. This is perfect for a quantity of 50-100. If you are planning on a larger edition or complex design, you may rent additional time outside of class (please inquire).

That 3 dimensional feel is pretty cool. Can't get that from a computer printer.
