Paul & Nicole Sinclair (pictured above, on their wedding day) met while working for a major record label in New York City.Two years later, they were planning their own wedding and wanted a DJ who shared their vision – classic and focused on the couple, rather than a performance with lights, smoke machines, and blow-up guitars. They had a hard time finding one and the idea for a different kind of DJ company was conceived.
Soon thereafter, Aria Melody was formed with their Best Man, Paul's brother John Sinclair, to build upon their wedding experience and John's 15+ years in the Disc Jockey business. Aria Melody came to life and is making an impact on the New York scene, having performed at The Manhattan Penthouse, W Hotel, West Side Loft, Chart House, New York Botanical Garden, Tribeca Rooftop and The Newark Club.
Aria Melody is a small, family-owned company. We only book 3-4 weddings per month so we can focus on personalized music and offer the customer service you expect.

John Sinclair has worked in the music industry for over fifteen years, getting his start as a DJ at the age of fourteen by setting up two Technics-1200 turntables in his basement and mixing Bust a Move with It Takes Two. His radio career began at Philadelphia modern rock station Y100-FM in Philly and he later joined B101 Philadelphia and 105.7 The X Harrisburg as on-air talent.
After relocating to Washington DC, he continued as a DJ at some of Washington's largest venues. His unique musical background in alternative rock, indie rock, motown, funk, hip hop and dance made him a sought-after talent for weddings and private events.
In 2004, John moved to New York City to start Aria Melody DJ with his brother Paul and sister-in-law Nicole. He has worked with over 200 couples and performed in some of New York's finest venues, such as: Le Parker Meridien, The W Hotel, Manhattan Penthouse, The West Side Loft, The Stone House at Stirling Ridge, Battery Gardens and The Liberty House.
John has been featured in New York Weddings magazine, The Knot magazine, on Brides.com, The Indie Bride, rated 5-stars by Wedding Wire, Project Wedding & Yelp and is a favorite of New York newlyweds and wedding professionals alike.
In addition to his music background, John is an Emmy Award-winning television writer/ producer. He lives in Hoboken with his sidekick Kingsley the Pitbull.

Owen O'Mahony is a Brooklyn based DJ/musician/producer. Originally from San Francisco, CA, Owen comes from a long line of classical musicians. At the age of 10 he began playing cello, but it wasn't long before he switched to guitar and completely immersed himself in the instrument. As a teen, Owen became fascinated with electronic music, and bought his first turntables and a mixer. He was immediately hooked on mixing house, hip-hop, funk, new wave, rock, and pop music.
After attending Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, CA, Owen moved to New York in 2002 and began working in numerous bands, spinning at clubs, and producing other local artists. In 2003, Owen joined The Satelites, a Long Island wedding band, and started DJing weddings shortly thereafter.
Since moving to NYC, Owen has toured the US and Europe as the lead guitarist for Jesse Malin, Brendan James, Esmee Denters, and many others. Owen's diverse musical background has made him a highly sought after DJ in the Tri-State area… [ MORE ]
